Kanisha Tillman

I'm Kanisha Tillman, a licensed cosmetology instructor, educator, and founder of Tutus & Tennis Shoes, where I've spent years teaching families how to confidently care for Black hair. After dedicating my career to beauty education, I chose a different path, trading the classroom for the open road. Today, I'm a slow traveler exploring the world to learn with Indigenous communities. I am learning languages, holistic healing traditions, herbal medicine, and the wisdom of cultures that have nurtured health and community for generations. Through my writing and storytelling, I share what I discover at the intersection of natural healing, culture, education, and intentional living, inspiring others to embrace lifelong learning and a life full of curiosity.
